By-Pass Valve
During the drilling operation, when a kick occurs and the bit nozzles are plugged and unable to establish circulation, if a by-pass valve sub is made up to the lower BHA, a ball can be dropped to shear the pin so as to open the by-pass, in which the drilling fluid can be circulated to kill the well.
The by-pass valve is installed between the drill collar and drill pipe or 30–50 meters above the float valve. The by-pass valves for horizontal wells and high-inclination wells are installed in the drilling tools of the 500–700 m well section.
Technical Features:
- High machining accuracy, precise fitting tolerances.
- The valve seat and valve body are made of stainless steel material, which is anti-rust and will not generate additional friction. The pressure for pin shearing is accurate.
- Batch production of pins after several trials ensures more accurate dimensions, including outer diameter and roughness, resulting in accurate shear-resistance pressure.
